back and forth the water dances
the rhythm of waves in synchrony with my breaths
it beckons me back and forth each glance

the sun sets low hiding beyond the tides
as i stare i sit i marvel through wide eyes
with the kiss of the wind and splashes of the ocean
i watch seagulls roam the pink sky

i stare i sit i marvel with awe
while the waves remind me im alone
the fleeting longing the fleeting awe
which the waves bring to me
