Dear Rosie
written January 9, 2015 for Blue Quill, SSA-SF
Dear Rosie, I miss
you deeply, I wonder where you’ve gone.
Dear Rosie, come and
see me, let’s talk this through;
It has been quite
some time since I saw one as pretty as you.
Dear Rosie come and
see me, I'm the only one you can truly count on.
Our lighthearted
conversations have stopped
And so did our solid
connection ever since this confusion.
Dear rosie, do you
remember when we studied all the things unsaid?
When silence was
comfortable and your wrists still haven’t bled?
Dear rosie, let’s
face the future with our infinite potential
Dear rosie stop the
insecurities, we are special.
We are a boundless
creation with over flowing possibilities
Dear rosie, with our
static together, we can light the cities.
Dear rosie let me
tell you a story,
Of the ground who
challenged the storm to show her his worst,
Of the storm who
accepted and delivered all his wrath,
And then of the
ground whose flowers blossomed just the same.
Dear rosie that was
where we were from
We’re wildflowers
who evolved and smiled at the rays of the rainbow
And dearest Rosie we
are not alone,
We have a whole
garden with us to share all the future joy and sorrow.
Lastly, dear Rosie,
please don’t give up on me,
As much as life
hasn’t given up from you.
With Love,
Rosie
